B-Free® F for Fluoroborate treatment

Principle

Different from the case of Fluoride ion, it is difficult to remove Fluoroborate (BF4) because BF4 is hardly precipitated. In general method, BF4 is decomposed to Fluoride and Borate, then treated them separately.

It is important to measure BF4 concentration to determine the optimum treatment condition because of the different treatment method between BF4 and Fluoride ion. But, generally speaking, it is not easy to measure the BF4 concentration.

Our system can measure BF4 concentration in real time, and then optimize the amount of decomposition agent in accordance with the results of the measurement.

Advantage

BF4 can be removed to less than 10 mg/L.

  1. BF4 can be removed to less than 10 mg/L.
  2. It takes about 30 minutes for a batch process reaction.
  3. Minimum consumption of the BF4 decomposition agent.

Waste water treatment for Glass etching process

This is the achievement which is applied to the waste water treatment of the glass etching process.
The waste water includes Hydrofluoric acid and Fluoroborate.
We applied B-Free F for decomposing Fluoroborate to remove Fluoride ion to less than 5 mg/L and BF4 to less than 10 mg/L.
We applied B-Free F for decomposing Fluoroborate to remove Fluoride ion to less than 5 mg/L and BF4 to less than 10 mg/L.
In addition, we can reuse most existing equipment for the new process.
